Etsy fees for 3D prints
Etsy takes a listing fee, a transaction fee and a payment processing fee from every sale, and in some countries a regulatory fee and VAT on top. On a $20.00 print with free shipping, a US seller pays $2.35 in fees, 11.8% of the sale. Price your prints with that cut in mind or it comes out of your profit.
Etsy's fees
- Listing fee: $0.20 per listing, charged again each time an item sells, converted to your currency.
- Transaction fee: 6.5% of the item price, shipping and gift wrap.
- Payment processing: a percentage plus a fixed fee per order, set by the country of your bank account (table below).
- Offsite Ads: 15% of the order when a sale comes from an Etsy ad on another site, or 12% once you have made $10,000 in a year, capped at $100.00 per order. Under $10,000 you can opt out.
- Currency conversion: 2.5% when you list in a currency other than your bank account's.
- Regulatory operating fee: a percentage of the order in the UK, France, Italy and Spain.
- VAT on fees: UK and EU sellers without a VAT ID pay VAT on Etsy's fees. Irish sellers pay it even with one.
